2nd day of National Artificial Intelligence (AI) Training – GrassRoots Hub
The National Artificial Intelligence Training Program organized by Ghana Tech Lab has begun across the country. We at GrassRoots Hub started our training on Tuesday, 6th August, 2019.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) as define by John McCarthy as the science and engineering of making intelligent machine.
“The exciting new effort to make computers think . . . machines with minds, in the full and literal sense” (Haugeland, 1985) “[The automation of] activities that we associate with human thinking, activities such as decision-making, problem solving, learning …”(Bellman, 1978)
An intelligent agent with a goal and aim achieves the maximum performance measure. The goal assists the agent in behavior organization by limiting the end objective. The first step in problem-solving is the goal formulation stage. This is the stage for deciding the sort of actions to contemplate, given the goal that must be achieved. An agent may be presented with various options of unknown values and it’s through identifying sequences in these actions that may lead to the best goal formulation. Identifying such sequences is known as Searching.
We are still in the first week of our Artificial Intelligence training program. Trainees are still attaining initial knowledge of this entire Bootcamp. They are learning all about solving problems by searching, heuristic search strategies, adversarial search among others.
